The Single Interlocking Hinge (SIH) Series expansion joint is designed for heavy-duty service environments providing a smooth and virtually impact-free no-bump transition between opposing floor surfaces. The low-profile interlocking center slide plates are hinged to allow the system to remain flush with finished floor surface while accommodating both thermal and multi-directional seismic movement. Three rubber anti-vibration dampers eliminate metal-to-metal noise and help prevent the infiltration of liquids and bacterial growth. An optional Tri-Blok® gutter and LokCrete® elastomeric concrete infill enhance the system’s waterproofing capability.
